The National Black Genealogy Summit, taking place in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 20-22, 2011, has named the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Wayne Downtown as its conference hotel. This modern, very comfortable facility is nearly brand new, having opened in September 2010. It is located at 1150 South Harrison Street, just one block south of the Allen County Public Library and right across the street from the Grand Wayne Convention Center. The complete program will be available in the near future. Among the nationally recognized experts, we are pleased that Tony Burroughs and Tim Pinnick will be presenting at this summit. Early registration is $115 for Friday and Saturday of the Summit with Thursday being a pre-conference day free-of-charge to anyone interested in learning more about family health history, writing and telling your story, preserving church history, and regional research topics.
